Danivia A. (Trinidad)

Hi, my name is Danivia Abron and recently I was able to take a trip to Trinidad and Tobago with the help of my mentors from the Too Fly Foundation. While in Trinidad we visited historical places and visited around the schools to see the different types of learning. We experienced new cultures and walked along the Pitch Lake, which actually turns out to be the asphalt we use on DFW Airport for landing and take off grounds. I wanted to experience a culture outside my own to see if that culture would make a difference in Texas and how it would change our way of thinking on things. The most impactful thing I experienced was when I able to provide the kindles for the children of the school. They may not have known exactly what or how it may have benefited them, but the joy from the teachers eyes was fulfilled from us devoting our time and happiness to the children. This was my first time ever visiting a country outside the United States and I was able to do so because I received a passport from Too Fly! Thank you!
